Studio portrait of SX16401 Private (Pte) Bryan Stanford Trigg, 2/12 Field Ambulance, of Prospect, SA; formerly of Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a farmer prior to enlisting in January 1942. Pte Trigg was on board Australian Hospital Ship Centaur when it was attacked and sunk off the coast of Brisbane by a Japanese submarine on 14 May 1943. Of the 332 people on board 268, including Pte Trigg, were killed. He was 29 years of age.
