Studio portrait of VX48816 Captain (Capt) William (Bill) Aubrey Miller, HQ AIF Malaya Australian Army Provost Corps, of Kingsville, Vic. Miller had served with the 8th Light Horse Regiment (service number 135) during the First World War. Between the wars he worked as a police constable and enlisted in the 2nd AIF with the rank of Captain in August 1940. Captain Miller was reported missing following the fall of Singapore in February 1942. He was presumed to have died on 28 February 1942, aged 45.
