Merry Christmas
Description
Embroidered silk postcard in portrait envelope style featuring a blue swallow holding two red flowers in its beak, a rising sun, and 'Merry Christmas'. Inside is a printed card reading to 'To my dear Sweetheart'. Sent by British soldier Thomas Edmund Dowson Haw (Tom) to his fiancee Dorothy (Dora) Shevill, c 1917.
