Description

Autograph book containing autographs collected by Sister Gertrude May Skyring during her service as a nurse with the Australian Army Nursing Service during the First World War. The album contains autographs from members of the AIF, verse, sketches, photographs and philatelic material, including stamps and field service postcards. Also includes card certifying Sister Gertrude May Skyring is a member of the Returned Sailors' and Soldiers' Imperial League of Australia, Queensland Branch.

Includes an autograph by Marion Lean Smith R.N., the first Indigenous woman from Australia to serve with the Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service during the First World War.
