Collection relating to the Second World War service of Lieutenant-Commander Charles Short McVey, HMA Ships Manoora and Rushcutter, 1935-1956.
Wallet 1 of 1 consists of official papers relating to Lieutenant-Commander McVey's service in the Royal Australian Naval Volunteer Reserve, and in the Royal Australian Naval Reserve. The majority of the collection consists of notification of appointments to various positions. It also includes a report of wound or hurt following an injury sustained by McVey during a welding accident, a certificate relating to a Crossing-the-line cermony, a grade card for an officer's class, certificates of discharge from merchant ships, Christmas cards and a photographic copy of a cartoon by Able Seaman Roger Gittus.
