Home movies relating to the service of 43438 Lieutenant David Watts, 1st Armoured Personnel Carrier Squadron and A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment. Footage taken around Nui Dat, Vietnam, includes scenes of armoured personnel carriers (APCs), including maintenance and wrecked vehicles; radio operations and maintenance; the first firing of the XM134 mini-gun fitted to an APC outside the A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment wire in the direction of the Nui Nghe feature; helicopters landing. The second part contains footage of a D & S Course at Puckapunyal and Lake Eppalock, including: driving and servicing training; 'swimming' training; and M113 driving training.
