A Vignacourt wedding. Lieutenant (Lt) Harry Hartley walks down the steps of the Church of Saint-Firmin, Vignacourt, with his new bride Simone Marie Pecourt, a local Vignacourt woman. A lieutenant with the 4th Australian Divisional Supply Column, Lt Hartley met Simone while he was stationed in the town. After the war they lived in Amiens, where they set up a tyre business.
