Description
Studio portrait of 3388 Private (Pte) Oswald Frederick Mutton, 2nd Battalion. Pte Mutton, a surveyor from Brighton-le-Sands, NSW was 20 years old and married when he enlisted in July 1915. He left Australia with the 11th reinforcements to the Battalion. Promoted lance corporal in 1916 and corporal the following year, he was killed in action at Bullecourt, France on 4 May 1917.
