Studio portrait of QX3623 Private Frederick Christopher Carr. A plasterer prior to enlisting in November 1939, he was initially posted to the 2/12th Battalion, and later transferred to the 2/31st Battalion. He was killed in action at Ioribaiwa on the Kokoda Track in New Guinea on 15 September 1942. He was 33 years old.
