Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of Major Frederick Harold Tubb VC, 7th Battalion. The diary was written by Frederick Tubb between 14 July and 12 September 1917. In the diary, Tubb describes his time on leave in Ireland, commenting on the beautiful landscape and his lack success whilst fishing. It also recounts his return to the front, the constant bombardment by enemy aeroplanes and difficulties with the wet weather.
