Description
Outdoor portrait of 6305 Acting Corporal Maurice Francis Reid Mullaly, B Company, Depot Battalion, Casula NSW. A customs clerk from Sydney, NSW, Mullaly enlisted as a private in the 13th Battalion. He failed the visual acuity test and was discharged medically unfit on 30 May 1916. In June he re-enlisted and embarked with the 20th Reinforcements, 2nd Battalion from Sydney on HMAT Euripides on 9 September 1916. He died of wounds at the 3rd Casualty Clearing Station, France, on 15 April 1917.
