Private Harold Stephen White
Description
Studio portrait of Private Harold Stephen White, 1st Pioneer Battalion. He was later promoted to the rank of lieutenant and survived the First World War. He enlisted in the 2nd AIF, serving as a major with the service number NX476. A member of 2/1 Pioneer Battalion, he died of injuries in Egypt on 21 May 1941.
