Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of 475 Private Gordon Colin Cooper, 1st Light Horse Regiment. In this diary, written between 1 January 1918 and 23 November 1918, Cooper records his service as part of 1st Light Horse Regiment, which also includes sketches, translations of Arabic words into English, a poem and a list of warring countries. Cooper details his service in Palestine and Transjordan, and describes the raids on Amman and Es Salt. The diary concludes as Cooper heads home to Australia.
