Arisaka Type 38 Rifle : Malayan Communist Terrorist
Description
The Arisaka Type 38 Rifle. Heavy rust corrosion over all the metal parts. It has a bolt but the magazine plate and spring are missing. The stock has had about 10 mm removed from the fore end and the bayonet lug band reset. The butt (missing the steel plate) has been rounded and is fitted with a screw in sling swivel on the lower edge.

This rifle was taken from a captured communist terrorist in Malaya, 1956.
