Prussian Order of the Red Eagle, 4th Class, with Swords
Description
Medal of the Order of the Red Eagle, 4th Class, a post-September 1916 wartime economy issue, cast and enamelled in one piece. Zinc-gilt cross, with gilt crossed swords through arms. The obverse shows a central enamelled disc of a crowned red eagle. The reverse shows a Prussian Crown and 'FW' cypher. The ribbon is black with white side stripes as worn by military recipients (civilian recipients had black/orange ribbon).
