Officers Mounted Service Pattern khaki woollen breeches : New Zealand Army
Description
New Zealand Army officer's Mounted Service pattern standard issue khaki woollen breeches. These breeches have protective panels sewn onto the inner leg. There is a pocket let into the front of both hips. The buttons on the waistband and concealed fly are made from steel and they have a shiny black finish. There is a pair of buttons on the outside of both legs near the cuff. The bottom edge of both cuffs is trimmed with a narrow band of olive green coloured fabric. The maker's circular stamp, and 'SIZE 12' are printed inside the righthand side of the waistband. Further around the waistband towards the back is an oval shaped label 'N.Z.^D. / FEB 1938 / B'.
