PH gas hood
The gas hood consists of a double layered flannel hood with staining on the external and interior surfaces. A pair of rusted metal rimmed glass eye pieces are fitted. The right eye piece being cracked. A tin circular breathing spout is fitted but is missing the rubber outlet valve on the end.
Below this is stamped in large print on the hood 'PH 26'. On the lower external surface of the hood is hand written in black pen 'AWM 16889', a blue line has been drawn through this number. Written beneath this, upside down in blue ink, is '518-62-2106'. The internal rubber mouth piece of the breathing tube is absent. A pair of elongated tears are on the right side inside lower flap. A partial, illegible manufacturers marking appears to be printed between the two tears.
