Artillery surveyors
Description
Artillery surveyors at the beginning of the traverse. The computor (seated) with binoculars and bandolier takes down the readings as the instrument man gives them. This sketch is a reconstruction of a scene familiar to the artist whilst a member of 2 Australian Survey Regiment.
