Description
Army and airforce personnel on troopship and disembarking at Port Moresby, New Guinea. Shot eighteen shows three American cameramen. Martin Barnett of Paramount News with the Arkeley 35mm cine camera on a tripod, stills photographer Frank Prist of Acme News and Earle Crotchett of Universal Newsreel holding a Bell and Howell Filmo 35mm cine camera. Frank Prist was shot by a Japanese sniper on 13 November 1944 while covering the invasion of the Philippines.
