Evacuating wounded, Balikpapan
Description
The first six scenes cover the arrival of eight Australian Army nursing service sisters from the 2/2nd Australian Hospital Ship Wanganella. These sisters were the first army sisters to land at Balikpapan. The remaining eight scenes show the transferring of wounded from ambulances to a Landing Craft Tank (LCT), then from LCT to the Hospital Ship Wanganella.
