VE Day Australian War Memorial Canberra
A thanksgiving service was held at the Australian War Memorial on the 9 May, 1945. The service was attended by his Royal Highness the Duke of Gloucester, Governor General of Australia and the Duchess of Gloucester, representatives from Allied embassies, the Australian War Memorial, Clergymen and general public.
