HMS Formidable and HMS Speaker
Description
Australian soldiers arrived at South Harbour, Manila, by trucks from the 8th Australian Prisoner of War Reception Camp and were taken out to the Royal Navy aircraft carriers HMS Formidable and HMS Speaker on American Landing Craft (LCI's), to be transported to Australia. Some of the soldiers are wearing 8th Division colour patches.
