AANS arrive Labuan
Description
Australian Army Nursing Service (AANS) Sisters of the 2/1st Casualty Clearing Station (CCS) arrived at Labuan from Morotai in a Douglas C-47 of No. 34 Sqn RAAF. They were met at the airstrip by the ADMS and CO of 2/1st CCS these were the first sisters to arrive in Labuan after the landing. Identified personnel: Lieutenant A M Gerlach, Lieutenant F Johnson, Lieutenant C F Murie, Sister B A Ling.
