Description

RAF news magazine No. 2 covers; bombing and capture of Pantelleria; a wager between General Eisenhower and Field Marshal Montgomery on the speed of which Montgomery would capture Sfax in Tunisia. Montgomery won the stake which was a B-17 bomber complete with air crew; the co-operation between General Alexander and Air Marshal Cunningham; the King and Queen visit the 'Dambusters' squadron and are welcomed by Wing Commander Guy Gibson, VC.
