Description

Spitfires of No. 41 Squadron RAF taxi on a damaged German? airfield prior to take off. Pilot of Spitfire code EB-Q climbs into the cockpit assisted by his ground crew. The enterance to No. 80 Squadron RAF mess adorned with the tail of a Luftwaffe aircraft and "Spuds speakeasy" painted on a propeller. Hawker Tempest V of 80 Sqn RAF taxis on airfield. A Tempest flys past over the airfield. The location is most likely Germany, possibly Volkel as both 41 Sqn RAF and 80 Sqn RAF were based there in early 1945.
