American/Australian civil aid action
Description
In a joint American Australian civil aid action, dozens of Vietnamese orphans and the sisters that care for them were brought by helicopter from the delta town of Vinh Long which was suffering from attacks from the Viet Cong. In the comparative safety of the coastal town of Vung Tau the American and Australian forces and the civil authorities are helping them to build a new life. This item is a general coverage showing Vietnamese sisters and their charges. A RAAF padre and an American army nurse assisting the Vietnamese sisters.
