RAAF gunships in Vietnam
Description
Features an Iroquois converted to a gunship. Shows armourers arming the helicopter, taking off, in flight, air to air shots, target area and guns firing. The converted Iroquois is equipped with two 7.62mm miniguns, twin rocket pods each holding seven 2.75 inch rockets and two M60 machine guns. This film was shot from a chase helicopter flown by Squadron Leader Dirou. Captain of the gunship is the Commanding Officer of 9 Squadron Wing Commander John Paule of Lyons, ACT and formerly of Carnegie, Vic.
