RAAF gunship demonstration (RAAF TV 131)
Helicopter gunships of No. 9 Squadron RAAF based at Vung Tau South Vietnam, gave newly-arrived troops of 8 RAR a demonstration of their strike potential and capacity to assist friendly troops on the ground. Two Iroquois helicopter gunships, generally known throughout the Phuoc Tuy province by their radio call sign "Bushranger" provide the active demonstration. Two bushrangers in the air made four firing passes over the firing range during the demonstration. Armament on these gunships consisted of two 7.62mm Mini-guns, rockets and twin M60 side machine guns. Item shows helicopter being reflued, ground staff loading rockets and ammunition.
