The 1st Paratrooper Battalion had been transferred to come under the command of 1st Australian Corps and the review was held by their new General Officer Commanding Lieutenant General Sir Leslie Morshead KCB KBE CMG DSO ED at the Mareeba East West Airstrip, QLD. Also identified: NX35058 Lieutenant Colonel John Wallace Overall MC and bar, CO of 1st Paratrooper Battalion; 327 (VX15120) Brigadier (Brig) Henry Wells OBE DSO BGS, 1st Australian Corps; NX34728 (N8) Brig John Raymond Broadbent CBE, DA & QMG, 1st Australian Corps; Captain F K Thomas, aide-de-camp to General Morshead.
