Parade and march past of Pacific Infantry Battalion & review of 3 Division by the Commander in Chief General Sir Thomas Blamey, Torokina
Description
Major General W Bridgeford CB CBE MC, General Officer Commanding 3 Australian Division, took the salute at a parade held by members of the Papuan Infantry Battalion, to commemorate their dead. At Torokina Airstrip the Commander in Chief, VX1 General Sir Thomas Albert Blamey CBE KCB CMG DSO ED, carried out an inspection of 3 Australian Division. He then gave a talk to the men and took the salute as the Division marched past. Later at 3 Australian Division HQ he inspected a guard of honour prior to emplaning.
