Description

On 11 November 1945, 1,360 troops of the 7th Australian Division who were due for release from the Army, embarked on the aircraft carrier HMS Implacable for Australia. The troops were conveyed to the aircraft carrier, anchored some eight miles off shore, by HMAS Burdekin.
