Japanese election coverage
During the Japanese elections in April 1946, observer teams comprising Australian, New Zealand, British and United States forces toured the BCOF area in an endeavour to ensure that the instructions issued by General Macarthur were carried out. Some forty two Australians took part in the teams, including two Australian Army Medical Women's Service.
