Australian War Memorial
Description
An informational piece about the origin and purpose of The Australian War Memorial, showing the grounds, exterior and some of its exhibits, particularly artwork, dioramas and sculpture. G for George is shown, and a midget Japanese submarine, at that time stored outside. Scenes of a Remembrance Day ceremony are included, with Prime Minister Menzies laying a wreath. Closing scenes include C E W Bean escorting Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh around the commemorative area of the Memorial.
