Childrens' party in Vietnam DPR/TV/472
Description
One of the most important Vietnamese festivals in the 'feast of light', and for children it resembles Christmas in the Western World. At Hoa Long village in Phuc Tuy Province Australian soldiers from the task force gave a special party for school children. The children enacted a Vietnamese dragon dance for the Australians. The troops handed out cakes, sweets, nuts soft drink and ice cream. Many of the children had not tasted ice cream before. Identified personnel: Lieutenant Tony White of Perth, Corporal Michael Dear of Melbourne.
