The shape of ships to come (Sentinel)
Description
HMAS Adelaide is a new breed of ship in the destroyer class. The guided missile frigates bring an impressive array of firsts to the Royal Australian Navy. It is the first Australian warship to be fitted with gas turbine engines, the first Australian destroyer with helicopter carrying capabilities and the first Australian vessel to be equipped with the deadly Harpoon anti-ship over the horizon missile .
