Challenge of flight
Description
Australia has a world wide reputation for the quality of her pilots. This is not just some natural trait but the result of an etremely tough and rigorous training course conducted by the RAAF at Point Cook in Victoria and at Pearce in Western Australia. Each year an average of 150 students begin the basic flying course but only fifty per cent survive the course to become pilots. Student pilots learn to fly on the Victa Airtourer (CT 4) and the Macchi MB-326. Historical footage of bi-planes in Australia.
