The Cedars of Lebanon are a clump of trees 600 feet up in the Lebanon Range. This range extends along the coast and has two skiing centres Les Cedres and Beskinta. The school classes were held on the slopes opposite the hotel. Longer trips were made to the top of the surrounding range 3000 feet above. Chief Instructor was Major Riddell Vice Captain of the British Olympic Team. After a week of blizzard the road was blocked for 30 miles and supplies of bully and biscuit were running low. When the natives dug out the road and trucks got through. The staff of the School included Major Savage, Captain Parson, Captain Mooney and Lieutenant McCaw. Casualties were dragged out on a sled to Becharre a village 8 kilometres distant until the road was cleared. The following appear Captain Mooney, Peter the chasse-neige, Sergeant Stogdale Captain Strang. Farewell to the Ski School and back to Australia. (source: film titles)
