Private (Pte) Douglas James Bishop, 8 Platoon, C Company, 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (5RAR), being treated at the United States Army's 36th Casualty Evacuation Hospital, Vung Tau, for shrapnel wounds to his left thigh and buttock, incurred during Operation Canberra, south west of Nui Dat. Pte Bishop is receiving a rub-down from 'Smithy', a US medical attendant.
