Studio portrait of TX8234 Gunner (Gnr) Trevor John Eiszele, 2/9 Armoured Regiment. A driver mechanic from Hobart, Tasmania, Gnr Eiszele enlisted on30 September 1941. Whilst serving with 2/8 Field Regiment he was one of 28 military personnel listed as Missing Presumed Dead on 18 September 1945. The Dakota VH-CUT A65-61 aircraft in which they were travelling disappeared without trace, en route from Biak Island, Dutch New Guinea to Higgins Field, northern Queensland.
