Studio portrait of 422346 Sergeant (Sgt) John James Denmeade, General Reconnaissance School. Sgt Denmeade was killed while on a training flight in Avro Anson W2253, which crashed in foul weather near the town of Won Wron, Victoria on 21 May 1943. He is buried at Bairnsdale War Cemetery in Victoria.
