Informal outdoor portrait of 423254 Leading Aircraftman George Edward Pearse, RAAF, wearing a leather flying helmet and goggles. Pearse enlisted on 20 June 1942 and trained at No. 8 Bombing and Gunnery School, Royal Canadian Air Force, Lethbridge, Canada in 1943. He went on to serve as a Flying Officer with 88 Squadron, RAF. FO Pearse was discharged from the Air Crew Allocation Centre (ACAC) on 4 December 1945.
