Description

Letters relating to the First World War service of 2430 Lance Corporal Wilfred Denver Gallwey, 15th Battalion. The letters were written to various members of his immediate family between July and September 1918. In these letters, Gallwey writes of his ongoing role as a signals instructor at Codford, life at the camp, and the move of the signal school to Hurdcott. He also writes of the growing American presence in England and his visit to Bath and Bristol whilst on leave. Gallwey routinely responds to news from home. This file contains:
