This series contains cablegrams sent by Major Geoffrey Gordon McCrae, originally of 7th Battalion and later 60th Battalion, and others to his father George Gordon McCrae. The cablegrams, spanning from January 1915 to May 1916, detail elements of his son’s service during that time, including his hospitalisation due to typhoid fever and his promotion to the rank of major.
