File of typescript copies of letters, relating to the service, during the First World War, of Sister Florence Narrelle Jessie Hobbes, Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service. In these letters, written between, 28 November 1915 - 10 February 1918, Hobbes corresponds with her family and friends. She details her feelings regarding the war, her emotions regarding the men she treats and her nursing work. Hobbes writes about the people she works with, mentioning the differences between the British and Australians, the locals and the landscapes of the countries she serves in.
