Description

The Last Post Ceremony is presented in the Commemorative Area of the Australian War Memorial each day. The ceremony commemorates more than 102,000 Australians who have given their lives in war and other operations and whose names are recorded on the Roll of Honour. Usually, at each ceremony the story behind one of the names on the Roll of Honour is told. However at today’s Last Post Ceremony, in conjunction with the Operation Slipper Welcome Home Parade held across the country today, the Afghanistan Roll of Honour vale is read. Hosted by Richard Cruise, we hear the names of the 41 Australians listed on the Afghanistan Panel on the Roll of Honour.
