Description

Correspondence relating to the First World War service of Mary Anne ‘Bessie’ Pocock, Australian Army Nursing Service (AANS). The correspondence in this file relates to the period in which Pocock served with No. 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospital in Dartford, her travels around the United Kingdom after the war, and her subsequent return to Australia as matron of the troopship SS Zealandia. Included also are several documents relating to her role on the Zealandia and hand-drawn certificate from those she served with and tended to at Cobham Hall in 1917-1918. This file contains:
