Description
Studio portrait of 4277 Private (Pte) James (Jim) Plunkett, 11th Battalion (left). A labourer prior to enlistment, Pte Plunkett embarked from Fremantle, WA with the 13th Reinforcements on board HMAT Borda (A30) on 17 January 1916. Pte Plunkett was reported missing and killed in action on 16 April 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France.
