[Bill Jarman, Olflag IIIC]
Description
Caricature of William "Bill" Jarman NX7549 drawn while the subject was a prisoner of war in Oflag IIIc (later renamed Stalag 383). It was drawn by fellow prisoner Jim Welch who is believed to have worked on the camp newspaper. In this caricature Jarman is wearing a British battledress blouse, which is an interesting representation of the practice of internees to share and exchange clothing according to individual need.
