Description

Group portrait of Army Musketry School with 82 Company, Sergeant Major Archie King, 56th Australian Infantry Battalion standing in second row first from the right. King briefly served with the 3rd Cyclist Company, before being transferred to the 54th Battalion. He served with them until October 1918 when the unit was disbanded and merged with 56th Battalion to become 56/54th Battalion. The Army Musketry School was held at Tidworth from 18 July 1916 - 9 August 1916.
