10.5 cm light field howitzer with sliding Krupp breech block. Mounted on steel box carriage, with two wooden spoked wheels. Breech number 455. Factory proof M 2787 Kp & S 6552 Kp. No firing pin. Breech potentially operational. Sight bracket present. Trail Number SAW 1918 L14546.
History / Summary
Captured by 5th Battalion on 10 August 1918 near Lihons. Gun was included among guns captured by AIF and exhibited in big exhibition of captured guns in vicinity Buckingham Palace 1919. (AWM File 4386/1/70 Series 16)
